Rolando Nichols - Founder of CENTRO

CENTRO, the Center for Education in TV and Radio, began as a vision of founder and President Rolando Nichols as a way to improve the TV and Radio industry by providing the highest-quality, cutting-edge training to a diverse group of students with a passion for excellence, excitement and creativity.

Mr. Nichols developed a winning business plan and invited professionals from the TV, Radio, and Education industries to join him in developing CENTRO as a place to give students from all background an opportunity to launch a career in the broadcast industry. He built a state-of-the-art studio weith equipment currently used in the best TV and Radio stations around the country.

Mr. Nichols used his expertise as a Peabody and Emmy Award-winning News Anchor, Reporter, Producer, and Writer to develop a curriculum that teaches students how to create television, radio and new media that captivates the audience, drawing them in with story-telling, provoking images, creative editing and overall excellence in technical production. He and his partners and staff developed CENTRO and turned his vision into a reality.

CENTRO TV and Radio has developed partnerships with some of the biggest names in the broadcast industry including ESPN, Fox Sports Network, National Mobile Television, Entravision and many more potential employers for our graduates.
