Broadcast Writing
Students will learn how to write a professional news script taking into consideration the 5 W's and H. Practicing the basic elements of journalism writing, students will gain a complete understanding of how to write engaging scripts, headlines and teases that attract and keep the audience. The Do's and Don'ts of writing in broadcast style in order to become electronic story tellers that promise and deliver to their audiences.

Program length is two weeks, for a total of 50 hours

Television News Production
This seminar is for people currently working as assignment desk editors, production coordinators, associate producers who want to take the next step to become a News Producer or for students new to the industry interested in television news production.  Students will learn using the I-News System.

• Finding Newsworthy Stories • Producing a Newscast and Story Selection • Vision, Focus and responsible journalism
• Market Tendencies and the role of the media, public interests & the Government • Niche audience & potential expansion
• Formats • In-house versus "in the field" production

Program length is two weeks, for a total of 50 hours

Field Reporting
Students will learn how to tell a news story using a variety of techniques that weave different elements together in order to produce a responsible and compelling story. Students will cover real news, go out with a photographer and edit their material (with the help of an expert) and will be able to use their own work on a future demo reel.

News and Sports Anchoring
Students will learn how to write a professional news script taking into consideration the 5 W's and H.
